How Do You Eat Pasta at the Comp. ? (19)
gentlepawsAny town, Ontario Canada1,019 Threads 13 Polls 9,583 PostsI live on pasta. I often eat while at the computer. It ends up on my lap. I am tempted to move my comp., into the bathtub, sit there naked and type. Then remove it and shower. Don't have a lap-top nor Ethernet, so this may be too much effort. Any suggestions ? Stained Paws

have a little table set to the side just for eating purposes and that way when you are eating you are off to the side and you don't get it on your computer and that way it doesn't wreck your computer.

Build a see through table that slides out over your keyboard, so you can set your plate on it close enough to your face that it is like holding the plate up while your eating, then your hands will be free to type when the fork isn't in it (if you use a (fork), 
and you can still see the keyboard if you need to, but not get any pasta or sauce on it, or on your lap.

I know your going to say "I hate anchivoes" but a cup of olive oil in a frying pan at a boil, add lot's of cut clove garlic and anchivoes(one tin) let them blend,put over pasta ,I like #8 or 9,and add fresh breadcrum's. It's so good. As you cook again,you may want to adjust the way you like it.

I never drop anything on the keyboard, always on my clothes. I've tried wearing a bib, it just bounces off the bib and onto the comp. Have to change clothes after every meal. Paws

I push the monitor and keyboard forward so my plate fits in front. I also have a flat panel monitor helps with space issues. And remember dont slurp your noodles....

I concur, penne is a good choice, or rigatoni.. unless you want to with ravioli-like noodles and eat with chopsticks just to be different. If you're intent on eating pasta at the computer, put the keyboard on your lap and your plate/bowl where the keyboard was - law of averages says it has a better chance of survival.

Don't eat too much pasta as it has too much starch for me.
I live on fresh fruits and veggies and yogurt since I've
started on this health kick several weeks ago. But maybe
cut it in small pieces and use a spoon. Or like me have your
P.C. in your bedroom and sit naked. Not a pretty thought, huh?
