That really sucks to no end, I have a 19 year old son in college, he's a big tough boy, and can handle himself, but if I ever caught someone trying to put him in harms way, well lets just say the outcome for them would not be very good and leave it at that!
My sincere condolences go out to his family.

I hope they catch the F..K Heads that did it!
Rest In Peace Joe

Sad story. Not much information about it though and leads me to wonder whether this could have been an accident after a late Saturday night frat party or worse, someone actually killing him. Tragic regardless.

There is a possibility it may have been accidental, but either way, as you stated. Tragic.

That's just horrible. I wonder what happened. The family must be devastated. I know I would be if that were my son.

I haven't heard anything on this lately. I'd hazard a guess that he left the frat house a bit toasted & fell. Just my guess though. Either way, imagine the trouble that frat house is in now!

It is very sad news. This and the Hazing that ocurred in the 70's and 80's, in cases with diasterous results, are why, many Universities, now have a Zero Tolerance Policy with all Greek Life avivities where alcohol is concerned.sad flower sad flower sad flower

With good reason, obviously. Unfortunately, rumor has it that PSU (Main Campus) has the name of biggest party school. sigh

Again, Oh no.

I chose my University on they High Quality Edducation I would recieve.

I chose my Sorority, for Sisterhood, their commitment to Academic Excellence and the Philanthropic Activities/Causes they supported.

Granted, I did not have the $$ to be in all phases of my Sorority, but the Academic Excellence was the main determining factor for me.

Belonging to a Party school was so far down on my list it truly would not even blip on radar.

My fellow classmates and I talked that when we talked with our Siblings in College, We always found they had time to pary @ their respective Universities.
Whereas, they remarked we di nothing but Study @ ours.

We all hear the Joke that other University Students could plan their studies around their lives but we had to plan our lives around our studies.

It really is the truth.

To be Honest, I am grateful it is.

While I do understand that it's their first taste of independence, students really need to start to be taught about dangers of partying too much... although I'm not sure it would actually sink in. Not to mention that these young students seem to think they're invincible. Heck, I pretty much thought I was invincible... until my accident last week. roll eyes

Anywho, something really needs to be done. Not sure exactly what the answer is, but there has to be a solution. We can't keep having these things occur!
