How men can shoot themselves in the foot when making contact ( Archived) (51)

Since I've joined the site, I've had seem far more men than women put up threads voicing their frustration at getting noticed by women they fancy. True their are times when the women just are not interested because the man may not be their type looks wise, age wise, or they just live too far away etc... However there are many cases where men make contact whether by mail or flower and what could have been a successful contact goes down the drain because the men do or say things to shoot themselves in the foot. Then the cry is heard that women just don't like 'nice' guys. True some women like bad boys but not all and I think there is more to it than that. Every woman is different so one approach will work on one lady but not necessarily work on all. Each woman has her pet peeves that will turn her off when a man first makes contact. Ladies what are some of the things that would turn off of a man making contact. This might be insightful so guys would know some of the pitfalls to avoid.

when a guy says he wants to lick me inside and out on the very msg..
when he writes a 10 page essay to really say i have sent this to every female on this site,

when they just send there msn addy and dont say anything else

when they say they are new and you have seen them in who has viewed me page for months

i could go on and on ......

oh and forgot when they say they have looked at your profile and loved it ......and they havnt even looked .. grrr

Yep that would be one of my top all time irritations too.

If you dont want to shoot yourself in the foot you have to perfect your draw. Dont put your finger on the trigger till you have cleared the holster. The same goes for a woman. And they are both deadly.

When a guy tries the hard sell. Some may have ready your profile or others just see a screen name and picture and they they are in love. I do state in my profile that I want someone to walk with me and not try to rush. A few emails, flower cards or even a phone call does not a relationship make.

Another one that is bound to land some mail in the delete is the copying and pasting of their ENTIRE (often long winded)profile in their first email. Just too lazy to write something original?

I have seen that a time or two. Again with the hard sell.
