Watched it, read about it, listened to it and the only thing I could think was why the hell didn't the parents watch to see where the kid was in the first place? Meh!

I totally agree... Now let's wait and see how much publicity and money they make off this stunt.. Just waiting for at least one Journalist to question the credibility of this fiasco..

because the goofball dad went to turn a switch on and the balloon took off and the younger kid jid in a box. sounds like the older kid and the younger kid tried to play a trick on dad and after all was said and done acted like it was just a misunderstanding.

Yeah...it was some crazy sh**! It was on all the news channels for hours!!! Common sense told me straight off that an over sized helium balloon wasn't gonna lift a 50lb kid. I kinda thought they would have figured it out sooner!! But then again, when a child is involved..common sense goes flying out the window!! Thank goodness it had a happy ending

this has to be one of the most idiotic news stories i've ever witnessed. the dad is some kind of amature scientist and created a goofy helium ballon for weather experiments. so he tries it out today and the balloon takes off somehow and his oldest son claims the younger son is in the ballon.
