mnowsa: yes......USA is the second most religious country in the western hemisphere and certainly there is a very good measure of religious pervertion here. Now if you take into consideration this type religious pervertion along with the ownership of the most sophisticated weaponries in the human history, you end up with visualizing a bone-chilling scenario.
Yeah, sort of like Iran, Pakistan, Syria, etc. And since when did weapons have to be sophisticated to kill?
mnowsa: i am sure you do dear but our previous president(GWB) and his administration didn't and that's EXACTLY why he so arrogantly announced about "cusade" while attacking afganistan. who were those people who voted for him for the second term? what really went on into the mind of those christian/conservatives when they voted for him. should we assume that those people were voted for him because they wanted to their president to carry on with the crusade?
My, talk about fear-mongering...Crusade in our language is similar to jihad in yours-it can mean simply a struggle without any religious connotations at all.

Nothing to do with the forum, but I just wanted to let you know I sent you a private message (since it most likely will end up in the filter box)
mnowsa: I agree with you...i just wanted to argue that there is a very good size of US population who, in the name of christianity, wouldn't hesitate to kill "them/others" and attack any nations that don't comply with US hegemony.(IMO)
Really? Have you taken a poll that the rest of us haven't read about or is it your bias showing?
I live in the Unites states and I have seen the american people. they are a great people overcomming adversity time and time again. when a problem arrises we find a way to overcome it not with fear but we find a way to come together and overlook our differences . And we will do it again wheather it is the Swine flu , Economic troubles . or a repressive government . you people in other countries may put us down and count us out. but we will survive .

Afraid of everything I think not
In most places as in the United States, it is the few that make it good and the majority whom are fence sitters. Fence sitters are usually religious, lazy and scared. They are unwilling to do much for themselves, yet do not trust those who do the hard work. Religion is a tool that creates mass hysteriato to control the sheep and America as well as the rest of the world is filled with sheep and has only few good Sheppards.

Methinks you are stereotyping again. The lazy religious give far more to charity and do more charitable works than the secular (as a rule) because they don't expect the government to do it. Mass hysteria is a feature of a lot of people, not just the religious though I see your point.

Arnold Schwarzenegger..
People need somebody to watch over them. Ninety-five percent of the people in the world need to be told what to do and how to behave." Herr Schicklgruber thought so too!
ukrainegary48: warning to all . this post has nothing to do with bashing America. just talking about the fear that has spread all over America. nothing more.
You might call it fear, but I call it a healthy respect. It was a carefree attitude (similar to yours) that made 9/11 hurt so much as not many expected. I for one however think we are not vary enough of the danagers we face and this was highlighted last week at Fort Hood. RIP.
nakosya: I met a very nice woman while i was in california. I spent all my week with her and her family and when it was sunday she asked if i want to go to church with them. You should have seen her face when i said no, i am muslim. She was about to have a heartaatack ))) It was so funny to watch her reaction and i still tease her
These feelings will never go away if people keep poking fun at them. However if people keep poking fun they will only get worse.
