ukrainegary48: i have notices a pattern of americans lately. they are so afraid of everything. they are afraid of muslims. old folks are afraid of the government letting them die.every time you turn around americans are so afraid. as a world traveler. i get on planes with muslims all the time. do i worry about muslims. know i don't. i think i have the answer why americans are so afraid of everything. its people like Sean hannity/bill oreilly/ rush Limbaugh/Sarah palin. and right wing radio. all they do is spread fear. on a daily basic. there is know reason for americans to be afraid every time you turn around. what happen to the fearless country i use to know.
Michael Moore the documentary maker would agree with you 100%. Some US news channels I see here in Australia are extremely intense. There's a definite focus on the bad stuff & this fear-mongering you mention is real, IMO.
It's easy to forget the impact 9/11 must have had on the US though. If terrorists had flown planes into our financial centre, I don't know that we would be so carefree anymore either.

I've got no idea who Danny is, but I'm able to understand of your assumptions, gary. Not really into the gaming thing, as I live everyday, like most Americans, paying for the results of the games people play. This 'nam vet wouldn't know anything about crisis, or the restraints of permanent disabilities, as I live, and breath today, not because of the lefts socialized medicine, but because my strengths are in the truths of a responsible individual, acting to protect the responsibilities of others. I gladly give anyone the free opportunity to accomplish what their hearts desire, but I give no one opportunity to freely obtain their hearts desires on the backs of others. I learned well the propaganda, and scare techniques, tactics, of those "hoping" to "change" things in their favor, by using those, who find themselves under, oppressed, by their controls. I went without food, or seeing the light of day for weeks, of the games played by others. I won gary, not of my fears, but of my strengths, and the strengths of those standing beside me. You know I look at it like this. If you saw it and didn't do anything to try to stop it or help you are as bad as the person doing it . If nothing else you can report it or go to the news papers and draw attention to it . But for a person to say it is wrong to hate a whole race of people it seems first of all that you would not do the same to right wing and republican people as you said were so bad to black people . I was in the army as you and fought with people of all races and learned there is good people everywhere. you are right about the south but not all I had a friend that was raised to hate black people and in Vietnam he was standing there looking at all the blood after the body's had been removed and a man walked up and ask him tell me by the blood what ones were black and what ones were white many gave there lives and there was no color Just G I's he loves all men today . so it just takes the right circumstances to make a man realize .
