It is a very sad shame that you have given the biggest and unholiest insult to the OP who may be of your ethnic heritage as you have stated. Her heritage has no bearing on the saddness her heart and soul must feel at this time of her life. Her saddness is a universal feeling of a human in a time of great loss.
Basically, you have slapped her in the face with an enormous insult at this time of deep grief. She is to be respected. I have no doubt that she is a much kinder and thoughtful person to all she meets in life than you will ever be. It would behoove you to humble yourself a bit to the forum OP.
