I have read many a post where it seems like all that is going on lately is arguing and fighting. Example would be the Aussie thread....dear God. This weekend seemed to be somewhat over the top but I see it at times in all threads.
What makes you as posters get so caught up in things? What pushes your buttons?
I don't post NEAR as much as I did. And it's for this very reason. Life is stressful enough, I don't need "virtual stress" to boot. No pun intended. LOL

When a teacher wants to teach me When a doctor wants to heal me When a bible thumper wants to save me When someone has a hair up their butt and wants to share it.

Very good question...and most of the time the fighting has nothing to do with the original thread...or sometimes even the category.

I do understand am I am not on here as much as I used to be for the same reasons.
People vent on Internet forums and why not? It's probably the most therapeutic aspect of having an Internet connection.
The problem only arises when someone forgets that it's virtual and takes it too seriously...
Google 'Psychology of internet forums'...and add to that, on this site you have a fairly concentrated mix of people who have trouble maintaining personal relationships...that should give you your answer.

Yes most forget that is virtual.
And then the tempers and such take over it is something else!

Can i just stick up for the Aussie`s here.. it`s all about fake profiles, there has been quite a few over the last couple of weeks, they`ve come in and have caused a lot of trouble.. Unfortunatly a couple of regs disagree with each other over this.. Sadly they put it in the forums instead of keeping it PRIVATE. Some have been banned and barred because of it and hopefuly it has all stopped.. Other than that we are all nice people in the Aussie forums
