If you do a construction industry occupational health and safety course ( a 1 day course, costs about 80-100 bucks) you might be lucky enough to get on as a labourer. Generally find lots of back packers in those jobs and the pay is pretty good. It'll get you work in the cities, Sydney, Newcastle etc but NSW only. Not sure about the other states. Last job I had in Sydney was working as a labourer. 5 x 9.5 hour days, took home $1200/week.

Over here you should be able to take 7-800 depending where you are and if you get much over time. If you get to canberra next year send me a message and I might be able to get you something.

Lou30: The heater on??? OMG! So it's winter woolies in my suitcase then lol
Hi Lou, somewhere around here
I hope you remembered those warm clothes as you would now have found out, it is still cold
and the wind gusts have picked up and since you are in Wellington 1st, you would now have first hand experience at trying to keep ya feet on the ground
Just try & balance those drinks - might be easier to drink them straight from the bottle - to avoid spillages
