No... but the poem you posted reminds me of my late grandaunt and her husband...they were such an unbelievably happy couple and such wonderful human beings...they are sorely missed...

The song lyric was written by a friend of mine. We were wondering if anyone stayed married fifty years anymore.

Yup - my mum and dad were married for 63.5 years....... he died last year............ but they met over 70 years before he died and got engaged when I think he was 21 and she was 16 - something like 68 years together from engagement until he died...... not bad going!

My late husband and I made it 36 years. Could write a book on the do's and dont's of staying married, but too many of them out there already. With the divorce rate climbing constantly I think some just give up.

sassy49senior: Hi hun, I still can't kick above my head so guess the physical therapy will keep going.
Neither can I . Of course I couldnt before my knee got screwed up either. But I know I can walk a hell of a lot better now. Keep at it, it will get better.
