I'd think he should be flattered... are you sure he's had a chance to log-in and get your message yet? He may simply not have gotten the message yet. Either way, if he hasn't blocked you then you're at the very least not bothering him.
Oh and did you rate his pics? I find women rarely rate guys pics on here for some reason... I go and rate women's pics every few days and try to leave at least a nice comment or two if there's something about the pic that really strikes me... deep blue eyes or really nicely done nails or whatever.
