I usually deal with my own problems myself, I've been pretty independent most of my life but I will readily jump in and help others if I can. I just don't need sympathy for myself.

I think I'm a lot like you. I don't like to lean or rely on anyone. But having someone to be a sounding board isn't really asking for sympathy. Sometimes they can see an agle you can just because they're outside of the situation, ya know?

bumps of life go away,and that's where

and he's my brother-in-law who I confide
in about anything and everything.
There have been times where I

have gotten out of hand,in the past.
And,that's where I want it to stay,in the past.

I don't mind an unbiased opinion on an important matter now and then that I can take or leave as I choose, but personal matters are best left out of the family, LOL they tend to want to get too involved and some are just nosy.

Depending on the type of problem I go to a different person. If it something I can talked to my son about I go to him. If it is something I can talked to my best friend, I ask him. Then I have a great extended family that I can asked for help. Nothing of importance is asked to the internet.
