Polarbutterfly: Guys,I was thinking about this last night and thought would guys date a woman who's expecting (pregnant) and single? Your thoughts please?
Probably not.... but there are lots of factors here.
The first being whether she was still emotionally attached to the father. The pure fact that she is still only pregnant would surely suggest the answer is yes. !
Unless I knew the woman beforehand, I would probably not even approach a pregnent woman for the saame reason.
I guess it all depends on the circumstances, but I would want to know more from her, before even considering what my feelings would be on bringing up another mans child.

The straight answer for me would be no, not under any circumstance as I know me well enough to know that relationships are difficult (for me) under the best of circumstances. To have to be there through the pregnancy and the emotinal drama attached I would find it too above and beyond my call of duty. Sorry but that is how I feel PB.
I have a friend who lost her husband about the same time I lost mine and she was pregnant. I lost my husband when my youngest daughter was just over a month;at least my daughter got the chance to be known by her dad;my friend's husband never got to hold his baby.Thank you for posting and good to see you.

I got asked out a number of times when I was pregnant on my first.
It was blatantly obvious that I was expecting so the question as to whether the guys knew about it just doesn't factor.

Personally...??? I been there.. DONE it.. and got four daughters and my grey hair.. I have my own personal feelings on unwed mothers.. but I believe each and every decision/choice is an individual one that both parties must decide/agree, and accept... Anything else is meer banter, opinion, and conjecture.. And as from similiar thread topics.. is MY opinion... and MINE alone... Question WAS asked.. I replied... ---SoldierByte---

Polarbutterfly: Please clarify,if you can?
Very simple really. I have the greatest respect for men that would do this but it is not for me. Each has choices to be made and basically I would give a pregnant woman a wide berth as I could not see me getting emotionally involved to begin with.

Agreed, and none can truly say what they'd do, just what hypothetically they'd do. Funny how a certain person can come along and change your mind...which is why I've learned to never say "never".
Sorry,I meant to say please clarify about the emotional drama,on the woman's part or was that in general?

My small two cents. If I was single and pregnant dating would be the last thing on my mind. There's just so much going on with a woman emotionally and physically at this time and I don't think a man would be a priority at that point - probably afterwards though. JMHO.

some people turn on women who are pregnant, when i was pregnant (and married) a guy was following me everywhere, i told him that he had no chance, it made him very very sad.

I see, well when my ex was pregnant and the horemones started playing havo, it put a strain on the day to day running of our lives, especially hers but we coped together coz we shared this common bond and did all I could to support her changing moods. I am almost certain I could not do this with single pregnant woman. I know my limitations I am afraid. The bonding would not be the same for me.
