I did know that Venere grin , all except the reason behind its name, It was the first scooter brought out to australia & still runs on the smell of an oily rag, totally reliable and yes even though I love bigger bikes , the Vespa has a great look to it.

well if you win x-lotto you can have 3 in each of the 3 colours, I have seen the pale pea green one & that is a stunning colour on it

Sorry about tricking you grin ,

I wouldnt be surprised if you can get it on Ebay, also I know of people buying them, boats, cars etc from USA and importing them because of the financial crisis being so bad there its a lot cheaper.

But Ebay would be a good start...I will keep my eyes open for you

just kidding about e-bay.

I would want to touch it and sit on it, and just stare at it. Then buy it.laugh

I just called a couple of dealers here. I am seriously wanting one.applause

So next step to making it happen, I will go in maybe later on, and sitting on one. They have a pale blue one with the metal rack already attached and part of the full price. I understand it is a discontinued colour.

Do you know that the 50cc vespa, brand new in showroom, with metal rack, and 12mth reg, GST, the lot, is only $4,400! And about 40kms per lt. Pretty good for metro trips.cheering And for that size motor, an ordinary car licence will do!

venere08: It sure is! Blimey, and that's with import costs. Imagine how cheap they are in Italy!!!

Yes, having recently returned from italy, about my 5th trip there now, they are certainly everywhere. They have even smaller scooters which young school kids drive without helmets! Where I was staying in Tuscany, I looked out the kitchen window, and below me was this poor kid trying to start the scooter. Next thing you see his mother driving him to school!

You keep bringing that town up sigh Tuscanny ..whoops i said it laugh , I have always wanted to go there hopefully soon

Sorry, steve. comfort

Tuscany is the region though. Where I stayed with my cousins was in Algliana Montana, near the ancient city of Pistoia, about an hour from Florence.
