And in the Darkness the child passed the time sounding out the words of the dictionary. The Child didn't understand and knew no better. But as the child sat there in the darkness the words glowed. And the words broke themselves down into syllables as the child tried to sound them out, Not changing until the child sounded the syllable correctly.
The child didn't know that this was wrong. That Books didn't behave like this. The child didn't know that this book in somebody elses hands was just a book with words in it. But the child was enraptured by it, and warm. Although how this was so is unknown to the simple, because the child wore a simple homespun shirt and worn denim pants. But anyone checking on the child then would of noted the temperature of the small enclosed room.
The child was puzzling over a difficult word the letters not combining to make the normal sounds. But after a lot of struggling the child tongue floundered over the correct pronounciation. After several attempts the child had it down pat and as the child said it softly to themself for the seventh time a light flashed outwards.
