I have a 10" Netbook and wouldnt be without it, It came with a longlife battery which goes uncharged for around 8 hours

Its convenient, small and easy to handle, I love the fact that I can sit in my bed with it,sit in the garden, my kids can use it in the car and be on the net

I can also take it to work with me without worrying about cords doing my head in

After owning a Netbook and a laptop for the past few years I dont think I could go back to having a Desktop at all uk

That's good that the battery lasts for 8 hours thumbs up If I get one of those 10" netbooks then I'll probably go hide in the gas cupboard with it under the stairs for a bit of peace and quiet laugh

I used to have a desktop but now use a dell inspiron 1520 and I wouldn’t go back to a desktop now. Now everything is wireless you can still use a printer or scanner without losing the portability of a laptop.

Zellarrone1: Which do you own and which do you prefer? What do you consider the drawbacks and bonuses of each one?

I've only always had a desktop but considering getting a netbook also. But, some people say they would get a laptop in my shoes. Also, some say they don't like them because if a drink is spilt on the keyboard then the whole thing is ruined whereas with a desktop a keyboard can easily be replaced.

I study IT, so as u can guess i have alot of computers.
Have 2 pc's 2laptops and one netbook.

Pc's are alot more powerful. if ur into gaming you would go for a desktop pc..

Laptops are handy as u can relax on the sofa with them..
you can get good ones..

netbooks are really just for websurfing out and about like..
so you dont have to carry around a big laptop.
netbooks dont save alot of info.
