LILLYLADY: What ways have you tried to get a birth certificate? Are you able to get your school records? My elementary school records were forwarded all the way up the line through Jr. High and were entwined with my high school records. There was even an old kindergarden picture of me with my high school records.

Surely there will be some record of your parents, their occupations as well as your birth age at a particular time in your school records.

My elementary school was demolished years ago but yet everyone's school records were not destroyed. Just a thought of another place to look Sassy.

I am a geneology detective by hobby as I traced my roots of my ancestors who came here. I had to find my family history identity when our family photos came up missing for many years. Through this search, I found my 1/2 brother that I knew existed but no one believed ever would be found. Yet, I still have not met him but we wrote at one point. Wondered who he was since my childhood. Searched since my 20s and found him in my 50s. So I do believe you will find your birth somewhere and get a long overdue deserved birth certificate.

Lilly

Thank you for your comments. I had already contactd her in private too. I am guessing that she is looking for any ideas from all concerned as to other ways to find her birth identity.I have no doubt that I am not the only geneology detective on this website and she will get other people writing her too.

She is a true gem of a lady and a gentle soul too. She deserves to finally find her birth identity and get proof of it. It has to ba an empty feeling to know who you are but are unable to prove it. Hopefully, one or more of the CSers will steer her in the right path to go. There may be a variety of ways to get the same results.

No doubt, we all wish her the best and true success! Agree?

At the beginning of the war for Yugoslavia I had a
identity crisis because mine brain washed through the communist educational system and service in Yugoslav People's Army. At the same time I felt a bite of conscience because of the military oath and ideological delusion.

I was without a country.

I am not any more stateless person and without citizenship thumbs up

LILLYLADY, If you were here right now you would feel a true thank you hug and a few tears would be shed. crying To think someone who does not know me cares enough to give me that info. which by the way I never have had before now, just proves there are still people with caring spirits still out there. I will send you a bit of personal info and then I am going to do some googling. hug Bless you dear lady. teddybear

sassy49senior: Mainly meaning unable to get a birth certificate, which is needed more often than not in todays world.

I tried every way imaginable to get one for several years. Never was able to with what info I had. Long story but I do not have and never have had a birth certificate.

Do what Obama did in the same situation.
Go to Hawaii and demand a "certification of live birth".

No proof needed...no doctor's signature, no footprint, no witnesses, no record, no verification of any kind, just your word that you were indeed born. You can then make up all the details you want. And most people will mistake it for a valid birth certificate.
