Is there an unspoken age limit when you're considered the "old folks" if you get out on the dance floor at a lounge/bar? I remember a guy, probably in his eighties, who would dance by himself when I was in my late twenties and did a lot of clubbing.

If you are somewhere you feel comfortable then dance, dance, dance! Have fun, enjoy, get a good cardio workout and sweat off a pound or 2. I don't do bar scenes but I dance around my house when cleaning and playing music. If it isn't illegal then go for it.
I haven't thought about that situation since the days I would fit right in. I nteresting. Wonder if there are any clubs, bars, lounges, for the over 40 or over 50 crowds?

Merriweather: I always like and respect the oldies that come dancing... one lady danced until she was 96.. and we all attended the Sunday Tea Dance party in her honor for her 95th.. and like a little bird, all sweet and dressed up.. she took the floor for an honor dance... it was soooooo nice... and she was marvelous..
My first concert I saw a man old enough to be my father there with hair down to his waste, I was 15. He was doing what he loved.
We are only on this earth so long, so enjoy it and do what you want. Find someplace you are comfortable dancing at.
I like the bigger dance floors, when I didn't have a man to dance with me and my girlfriends danced of course alone but it was so much fun. It took my girlfriends abit to get me to do that, but after awhile now I can even do it now all by my self. See it's a lot in our comfort levels.
