MOI :) I am in Finland next week (if dublin airport does not closed down again after 5CM of snow )
I just never liked smoke myself.... good to see what other people think....
Yes, usually someone who just smokes when out at night in the pub, but of course that is not allowed here anymore. They probably won't go outside into the cold for a puff as they are not addicts.
There should be smoking and non-smoking pubs at least. I can understand the new laws regarding all the other public places including restaurants.
Many pubs have gone out of business, many needed the smoking drinkers money also to survive but they have now gone out of business. They didn't even get an option or any compensation due to a law change.
Many bingo and amusment halls have closed also, many jobs lost. Many old people not socializing as before.
I hear that in some parts of Europe this non-smoking law is basically ignored and openly abused without persute or penalty from the authorities. Here the pub owner gets a £ 2000 fine ! And then closure if it is repeated.

I feel sorry for smokers because some are unable to quit even if they want to. It's like being attached to a ball and chain. No matter where you go you must feed your craving.
Most of the non-smoking women I've ever made love to love knitting after ses.... they say it calms their nerves... some are still happily knitting away DECADES after I last made love to them!
knitting needles can be dangerous for your heath ...
