hi...
i am planning a flight to malila filipines...via vancouver ..and this whole cheep flights thing has got me confused.. i think i need to fly philipine airlines to fly direct.....
just wondered if anyone had experience or knew ... is there a way to save money on the air fare ...and have a flexible return time??
My friends say Im the Queen of online flight finding... and the problem is Canada is a tough place to start from! If you can get to USA you might have a better chance to find a 'cheap flight'. But, if flying from Canada you will have fuel surcharges and tax etc which is what pushes your cheaper trips up. Most bookings give you the option of 'oneway' trip, and occasionally that will be better for you- ie, get return with another airline, stay longer, but usually your best price is a return within 30-60 days. Do you have airmiles you can use? Does your closest Fili embassy need a courier? Can you fit in a dog crate?

lookingwithin: You can check air lines on internet for cancelled flights as they go cheaper or ring them .
thank you ..that is the airlines?.. would i do it or my travel agent... i have used the agent for domestic flights.. but where i am going a couple extra hundred dollars saved is a big deal
So mr Phoenix... what did u find? You never said what your budget was, if you could go from USA, and the other details. The 'standby flight' thing is verrrrrrrrrrry 1970s... look for budget/no frills/ taking the long route type flights... but remember - you get what you pay for with airlines - look also at KLM airlines, and Delta.

roseofsharon: Yeah.... get her to fly to you?!
already done ..twice...its my turn to get out of the cold and hit some exotic beach
also ...instead of seeing them one at a time ... i might get to see all 50 and clear my prospect files....(but my friend Richard ...who married a filipina and brought her back here to my village) tells me that it gets a lot harder to choose once i get there ... .....
it was -24C not long ago...but i can not complain ...its above 0 today.
Used purchase really cheap tickets in Thailand, recently i noticed really good ticketing being sold in Malaysia, thought i had bookmarked a site i thought offered really good deals, but seemed to have misplaced that site. However you Goggle Malaysian ticketing you might find some pretty interesting offers.
These three sites i just browsed you might like to to cast your eyes over them
look at contact us page displays address: Cheapflights is not a travel agent and does not sell tickets. We are a travel Web site dedicated to bringing you the largest collection of deals from hundreds of agents, operators and airlines. We welcome your feedback and encourage you to send us suggestions, recommendations or complaints.
