StressFree: That carries more risks if you bet on a heavy favorite straight up (moneyline) and lose. Like in some games, you have to risk 700 dollars or even more just to win 100 bucks. And there were a lot of upsets this year. So a lot of people lost a lot of cash on those supposed locks. If you have balls to bet on the underdog, and if the underdog wins---then you can make a handsome profit. You have to really know your football and the stats and trends etc...

Betting on the spreadline is much safer. There is a lot more to this It's a science with wagering, and some luck. Baseball is much easier

well... thats just too damn complicated bro....

i'll just throw my $700 on beer... that way all i have to worry about is the hangover !!!!!

bohdiprana: Indy is -7.5 ... but I'm still taking them. They just beat the same kind of team in the Ravens. It will be repeat of the Ravens game. Low score, maybe 20-7The Saints -3.5, have way more balls than Favre that rusty old coot. Oooops, I mean they will have the ball way more than Favre. Saints dominate! Minny can't hang on to the ball and Favre doesn't do well in hurricane states.
Saints 34- 13

Well it's about time you picked some winners meatrolling on the floor laughing wink thumbs up

Man, 5 turnovers by the Vikings? And the game still went into overtime. the game could have went either way, but the Saints made the least crucial mistakes and won the coin flip!!!. It's not the best way for Favre to go out, but he still did an amazing job and it's not like he's that young lol...

blushing winning is losing ... laugh I actually lost. At the last minute I bet on the Jets to hold the +7.5 line and they didn't.
And N.O. was -3.5 so I lost that too. head banger

Will be a good SB. Two 13-0 teams. Indy will have to switch gear from playing the same kind of team for 2 weeks in a row.

That's footballfrustrated laugh You would have won had you bet straight up on the moneyline. That's why I despise the spreadline---too many headgames going on with the bookmakers and all possible outcomes. laugh

I'm thinking the Colts will win comfortably. They have a great and balanced team. I'm willing to take the -3.5 spread on the Colts---but will make a petty wagerlaugh

Our group only uses spreads, no bookies, its a private group. Makes it harder to bet. I'll lose $200, not such a big deal for whole year and one will make 800, nice end of year bonus.

I dunno, the jets put up points against them in Indy, and they are not N.O. Two weeks to mull this over.

Two different offenses. The Jets run the power running game and play action. Once the Colts got the lead, the never looked back. The Colts did shut out the Jets in the second half. And the Saints did not really do much in the second half of the game. They were blessed with turnovers and their special teams gave the offense great field position. Brees looked really shaky and he does that from time to time in big games.
The Saints will score points, but the Colts defense is a better second half team and are really streaky--but they can play good shutdown defense in spurts. Same goes for Manning and his offense--really streaky. They could be asleep for a while and then they can light it up really quick.

Yeah, I just don't see Manning experiencing the problems that Favre experienced yesterday. Manning has been playing unconscious this year. I'd be really surprised if the game went down to the wire.

Then again, what do I know?laugh I learn painful lessons all the time---anything can happen and nothing is as unsure as a sure thing in the NFLuh oh

Makes sense, the veteran against the kid with nerves, on the big stage. Indy really does take hold in the second half of games too. Like they don't wake up until they realize they could lose. smoking

I knew some people that went to the Saints Vikings game as Vikings fans, after the game if you were unlucky enough to show team spirit by having vikings bumper stickers or anything else on your or in your car your car was targeted for a total trashing. One unlucky Vikings fan had 12000.00 damage to thier Vehicle and there were many more. What the hell is wrong with Saints fans to do this, its not team spirit to trash someones vehicle. Isn't it enough for you that you won, if hosted in Minnesota you never would have had to worry about your vehicle being trashed. Remind me if I ever go to a game down there that I hire mercinaries to guard my vehicle to keep the aaints fans away from it. what a bunch of jerks
