this thread is kind of selective..for those of us retired...how do you occupy your time?? lately i've been turning dead tree branches into hand made canes and walking sticks which I donate to the Veterans Home here where I live. Each one is different and unique, and gives me a sense of accomplishment, will most likely tire of it soon and move to something else. SO, WHAT DO YA'LL DO??

I lead a worthless life; all I do is chase women and hope for the best..... may I have one of your canes, please?
I read, write and fish.Any of those alone could be a full-time obsession. Of the lot Reading seems the more general occupation just because it's so easy to take up-no investment other than your time.
I spend my time chasing a certain someone around CS.
Actually, I find projects. I have just finished redoing my bathroom. Only have a cabinet to build this morning and put up curtains and fini....will sit and admire my handiwork.

I need to read more.
I also needc to write.
I'm the future Bill Bryson on the subject of:
'All you wanted to know about women but were way too afraid to ask'

I ADORE retired women!
Do you have a pension or yummy disability payments?
Retirement is a full-time job. I'm always soooo busy. I cannot understand how I did find time to go to work? Read, do crosswords, walk, swim (during summer), take pictures, work on the pictures with Photoshop, answer a lot of e-mails, write many letters to people who don't have PC, clean, shop, cook, wash dishes, wash clothes, iron, have a glass of wine with friends, spend too much time on CS Forums, play with my cat, help organise a get-together party etc. Now I have to start packing bc I move in 3 weeks. Pfffffffff, I'm exhausted.
RobertC2: Excellent! Good man............. let me know which charity and I'll see what I can do to help in a lazy, non-physical but maybe financial way.
They came to check him out; he'd been a naughty boy (the unit Paymaster).
He holed up with a SSAFA sister until they done gone!
Single Soldiers and Families Association?
'whatever' - I'll help........... next month as I am spending way too much on 'goodies' lately; spent more so far this month than I normally spend in a year!

For health reasons I don't get out too much. I lay around a lot, spend a lot of time on the computer and little by little I'm fixing up what used to be a storeroom into a big bedroom.
A project for the near future is to reinstall recording software and do some multitrack music recording.
