robpacciani: I cant see Ireland winning it this year , i stand by what i said at the beginning.
England at Twickenham will be a tough game.
And cant see Ireland leaving Paris with a win with the abysmal performance put in yesterday.
Lets see how France play today first

Have faith.....applause Kearney was not on form yesterday...and we were missing so many players.......italian line out was shocking and thats where we were taking advantage but there were just some sloppy passes and all a bit messy but have faith.......def think they can do it again this year...dont be intimadated by france..but england looked good yesterday......then again wales made them look good too.......anyway kinda off topic but def dont like the england jersey......whats the story with them

I think England were lucky to win by as much as they did but a great start for them especially with Italy next..

I would be intimidated by France, afterall their club rugby is thriving , the game is on in Paris and they will be out for some retribution...

dubsforsam: yep ireland will win tomorrow. but me thinks the french are a great price @6/4 to win the tournament (not the grand slam).two reasons lievremont finally knows wat team to pick...... and they have both ireland and england in paris this year

thumbs up

Havin home advantage against tow big rivals has to be an advantage altho I am unsure Lievremont knows what team to pick yet........It will be interesting to see how they perform today.
My favs too and no slam this year for anyone I think.

No need to be cheeky...
I agree Nina, France were comfortable but were nothing special either.

Paris tomorrow afternoon and Ireland will need to have all fifteen playing their best from the off, we cant afford to allow france to get away like our last two games there, if we can hold them until half time I predict an Irish win but only a couple of points in it.
28 26
Wales to beat the Scots comfortably
21 9
Jonny Wilkinson to beat Italy.
18 13

The area that France always had held the advantage over Ireland was in strong aggressive loose forwards but in the last few years it is no longer that way with the likes of Ferris, Heaslip, Leamy, Wallace et al breaking through. Their three quarter line was somewhat lethargic in the main in Murrayfield last week whereas the Irish seemed to stand off a little against Italy; if the pack do their work then the game is for the taking. I predict a 21 15 win to Ireland.

England did well against Wales in the forward play and with Italy a little weak beyond number ten, this is the week for Johnson to get the ball moving and moving fast; I go with a 45 13 to England.

Lastly, Wales need to lift their game against a Scotland team who defended better than people expected them to. Trouble is, the Welsh team that is playing this season is give or take the same one who were arguably better than our Grand Slam; if they turn up tomorrow then Scotland need to be very very brave. Wales 29 Scotland 16

France 23 Ireland 27
Italy 19 England 38
Wales 35 Scotland 20

Wales won't make the same mistakes like last week and gift Scotland an easy try. France will be tough but Ireland should beat them by no more than 5 points. Italy will be difficult at home but England should win it comfortably.
