It seems to me particularly from the forums that a majority of the people are from the likes of Dublin and Cork etc and I'd imagine its easier for people who live there to meet people as their fishing from a larger pool of people that are close by in terms of location. Does anyone from outside these cities get disheartened or annoyed by the lack of people in thier immediate locality?

I realise that its do-able to have something going with someone in a different county but obviously its easier if your closer..... any comments???

I cant speak for people living outside the city but I have been on here over 2 years and could count on one hand the number of guys I have met, wouldnt even need all the fingers lol.

Disheartening? a little but I enjoy the forums, mostly, and going to the meets, so am here for awhile yet.

Everyone i have chatted with on here is mainly at least 2 hrs away!

Major disadvantge is i dont drive, it can be a pain in the back side! But i think if you end up likin someone of here and are interested in meeting up and they are far away then compromise... meet half way!

Thats my opinion! Definitly considerin goin to the next Dublin meet cos i'm sure it'll be a great laugh!

Do you mean just in terms of meeting someone from cs? or in general? I find it very difficult both on here and in the real world. There are very few on here from the sunny south east. But then there are very few in the real world from here too... mostly tourists around at the weekend.

roll eyes laugh

I also think it's harder the older we get. When you're in your 20s the odds are most people are single and available . The numbers change as you get older.

I have to agree on that one crying

Also, it seems that very few people are from the Ennis area...

Thanks for replying guys and gals handshake I meant mainly on CS but it rings true in daily life too guess. A lot of people I have chatted with and some I have met would have come from the likes of Dublin or Waterford/Cork and most people who have viewed my profile ... well a majority of them would be from Dublin! It's just typical there seems to be an abundance of guys up there.

which kind of rings true...but i dont know what the answer is..youd have to be quite lucky to meet someone willing to re locate or else do so yourself....confused handshake

Well, I live in the back of beyond but it's not exactly the outback. I can drive anywhere on the island of Ireland in under 6 hours so it's not really a problem.conversing

Well do you have to prepare yourself (if you sign up for a dating site) to travel long distances should you meet someone online who lives far away. I mean I'd rather not go down the road of starting a conversation with someone who lives on the other side of the country if it was never going to result in meeting if we got on. I know theres nothing wrong with just chatting to people but I dont see the point not here anyways, most of us are here for a reason, but I would see the forums as the place for witty banter and chat.

I just wondered do people ever think god, all the men/women on here seem to be in Dublin or Cork etc...

yes there is a disadvantage, and i suppose for those living in them areas it is a lot easier to be choosy about who u decide to iniate conversations with (ie mail)etc on he sites, id personally have no problem travelling who knows what u would miss out on if you wernt prepared to travel
