Englishman55: Just watched it...... I don't think I will ever be able to listen again without thinking about the roots of the song and having the memory of Hillsborough in my head.
Thanks D...... A special song with a special meaning

Thanks P, very emotional for me also and for personal reasons. I was fortunate that my younger brother was at that game so rejoice he was not a victim but my heart bleeds for the families who were not as fortunate as mine. Ah well back to the thread I am bringing this one off rail with emotion.......sorry folks.

I am outta here folks... got a Texan that thinks he is the big I am, and not wanting to get banned again, it's probably best if I leave and let him shoot his tiny mouth off.

Sorry but their are a few hooligans in soccer but 99.99 % of supporters do not get involved. What happened at Hillsborough was poor policing and poor ticket allocation. If you put 20,000 people into an area designed for 16000 and people get crushed to death then that is not hooliganism. Most that died were little children that got crushed in the panic, not by hooligans, the opposing fans were trying to help the dying children out. I am sorry if there is this notin of fans being responsible or booze but it was caused by poor ticketing and policing. Please have respect for those that died that day rather than triviallising without reading what happened.

Thanks Jlw, I think both me and Englishman got carried away with the emotion of the event, it was quite personal for both of us. Easy to get caught up in emotion but it was not emotion about soccer but emotion about loss of life of innocent children.

I did give you the opportunity to check your facts and make yourself aware before shooting your mouth off, so it's a shame you can't take your own advice about being an adult
