I think it was a big mistake to put Netanyahu back in control. Now there will never be a Palastinian state as long as he's in charge. For decades the US has given Israel carte blanche for whatever they wanted to do because we felt we needed them to secure the middle east for American interests (OIL). All the while the SOB's have been spying on us and treating the Palastinian people like garbage. Our past love affair with Israel and total disregard for the welfare of other middle eastern countries (except oil rich Saudi Arabia and Kuwait) is the real reason we were attacked on 9/11/01. Peace will not come for America in the middle east until we stop treating Israel like a favorite child while totally ignoring the other countries in the region including those without vast oil reserves like Iraq.
It is time to level the playing field and that is exactly what president Obama is doing!

Does every American policy, UN, IMF and World Bank move effect the whole world? We are having a Florida cash for appliance clunkers...trade in old appliance and get new one....that save energy. And get a rebate check from the gov't.

Now.....consider.....who n the global community is effected by this US gov't program? Is the street begger in New Delhi effected? Or the Moscow Kremlin oil billionaire? Or the farmer in Europe effected? No, I don't think so. They don't even know about it. So how can they be effected?

You cannot make broad statements that enclose everything into cause and effect, Motlew. Many programs here in the US have absolutely no impact in the world or its people. Just as many programs in your country have no impact here.

And what is peace and security to one county. Is not necessarily peace and security to another. A Taihian looks on peace and security a lot differently than Israeli does.

And US backing of Israel ticked off a big number of Moslems in the Middle East that had oil. And lastly, Israel has never in modern time driven a Army to to the known oil regions of the Middle east. Lebanon. Egpyt and Palestine have little oil in the areas that Israel went.
