NonniBlues: How many of you really think that perhaps reluctancy to parttake in doing the housework is one of the major fundation for arguments between your former ???

I think there are probably arguements about it but in most cases arguing about the trash going out is usually a cover for something else going on that one or both aren't ready to talk about. JMO

Not really, even when I was married I did most of the chores and cooked, now that I've been on my own for so many years I kind of enjoy the work.
Except laundry, never could figure out why you had to sort everything, I just throw everything in and wash, sure I have some colored socks and shirts. and ironing? nope just put it on wrinkled, eventually it will straighten itself out.

NonniBlues: Hey guys. Don´t you just miss desprately the relation to the wife when it comes to housework ??????

kidatheart: I live alone, never been married or even lived with a woman, other than as a room mate. My house is clean, and my kitchen and bathroom are usually spotless.

Why would that change if I had a g/f? Do you think she might ruin me?

Whats to ruin Harry? laugh

O.K. ladies. I'm a classic. Never did anything inside the house except repairs and take out the trash. I had to learn everything from scratch. Shopping, cleaning, laundry (have a couple cool bleach stories and some tie-dye underwear) I didn't even know you could buy deli meat sliced to order by the pound. Thought it all came in plastic packages, if that tells you anything about where I started from. WHAT a discovery! I love turkey pastrami!
Anyway, my house is as clean as anybody's I suppose. It's a guys house though, I must admit. That's one of the few things I really miss about being married. The women's touch is a very real and tangible thing. I can't duplicate it.
On the positive side I have discovered that I am quite a good cook..........and since I clean my own bathroom my aim has improved. rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

NonniBlues: Because it´s relation to where we are at present is a tell tale record of what we are like. That is to say if we are able to admit it in the open.

Boring only if you want it to be.

Yes house work is boring and the only benefit from it is that you do not end up living in squalor, taking care of your health and hygiene. You know I knew this lady who lived in a spotless house and she performed the same household chores each day, year after year, but she belonged to an amateur dramatics society. Her mind was in complete dissary.

Using all those putrifying bleaches, sprays, detergents cannot surely be healthy either. And bed bugs, you know those miniscule cretins that we cannot see to the naked eye. The ones that munch on the dead skin cells we shed. Yes they love a good old chomp. Does anyone have a bed free of those?

A married man should be cleaning anyway; not getting this question.
