In response to: One night while watching the news I decided to watch a little horse racing and I watched as one rider was seconds away from the finish line and then...the horse tripped. Bummer! I have a pal who is always betting on something but never wins. He explained that he had placed a bet on this horse and was mentally counting his winnings when the horse and rider fell out of sight. I thought it was sort of funny. Another strike out but he never quits. He budgets a certain amount of cash just for this purpose.
What could drive someone to keep going? Is it really an addiction for persons who have never won and why would it be?

I would place a bet on me falling in love again..... yes, I know it's a long shot, but, since the split of my marriage I have learnt that there are so many good women in this world, that sooner or later....

its not easy to quit...
for exsample i cannot win since 4 months but i still play little amount ,
i guess there is somethings that keep me playing
