I often question what I'm here to find. I'd like new friends but also a relationship, although I have to say that I'm a little scared of getting into anything deep, thanks to what's been done to me in the past. I know I should leave it in the past and all that but it's easier to say than do. So I'm just not sure, so will play it by ear with anyone brave enough to meet me.
I am just on here to have a bit of fun and make friends on the forum.I am a widow and have llived alone for over 12 years, 2 years ago I began looking for a relationship on dating sites and although I did have some pleasant experiences the majority of my dates and contacts were extremely unhapp, I had some funny, some sad and some just plain wierdo dates. so I gave up..but i like the forum and the witty remarks so i shall stay on this site just sortta hangin around in the background
That doesnt sound too hopeful does it? I have recently plucked up the courage to register with a couple of sites and they encourage you to send messages - so I did and have not had any response but it looks like these people are still active on the site. It would be nice if they just dropped a note saying " sorry not interested".
Why am I on here? I guess like most people I dont like being on my own and am still not disillusioned enough to think that there may just be someone out there who I am compatible with.

Hmmm why am I on here. . . Well I was having a few drinkies with the girls one night and they started asking me all sorts of questions about myself, now I know why they were putting my profile together, bloody tarts LOL. Oh well I haven't deleted my profile yet, is there any hope? All traditional methods have failed me so maybe this will work.

Criky! Tell someone she's beautiful and make a polite decent helpful suggestion, and she just has a moan and rolls her eyes! Unbelievable.
Of course the nice guys exist, problem is no-one seems to be prepared to trust anymore, even if the person they are in contact with is genuine. Not a cynic you understand, just believe in telling it how it appears.
