it's acutally supposed to run better on older gear than XP or vista.

i put it on my Latitude E6400 and it just works. No prickin about with anything.

I also put it on an older Latitude D410 that was going to go in the bin. Once I got the graphics drivers for it, it's great. Kinda like a netbook. Wouldn't use it for anything else but running the OS and IE works miles better and faster than XP or Vista.

Better off paying for a certified copy, the spurious ones don't get all the updates.

Download Google Chrome, so much faster than firefox and no pop-ups as you would get with Explorer. Plus it just looks so cool.

Your kinda half right Libra, most spurious one's don't get half the updates. It depends on the build.

Some are better than others then. The two ppl that I know with spurious copies don't get the updates that I do at all. And they get onscreen warnings about their copies not being originals at each update time that they cannot remove!! Can't hide that from someone looking over your shoulder laugh

Yes been there done that lol. In fact the copy I have now gave me the "Not genuine" thingy and stopped updating, but the guy I got it off gave me another disc which cleared itlaugh .

I just upgraded to windows 7 from vista
on a philips iqon piece of crap

windows runs beautifully but wont
scan for wireless networks so
need to figure out whats wrong there
more than likely a driver issue help

when I figure it out I will be selling it
on straight away and at a very low price
that I would only pay for myself .

I went to the recycling yard today
and took about 6 computers home
as the guy said it would be ok
Im going to try fix one of
my friends computers with
the parts .

Ive no idea what Im doing laugh

but sure the computer is over 10 years old
so will be an experience for me .

just cos Ive no work doesnt mean I cant be productive dancing
