merrilou: Take it back to the shop.... but what is a laminator , never heard of it . I am familiar with laminate flooring , has it anything to do with that ?

you plug it in..and put an A4 page into a laminator sheet
(plasitc pouch) and into the laminator..the heat seals it and the page is covered in plastic..protected...conversing conversing

Lidel are very good that way. Take it to any checkout with the reciept and they will refund you without question even if you've just changed your mind and don't want it. I've seen them do it again and again.Probably because the Germans know a wee bit more about customer care than we do. M&S are the same. No quibble garuantee!conversing

Under the sale of goods act you are protected. The goods sold must be of merchantable quality and suitable for the purpose described. You'll need the receipt and they must replace it or refund you your money..... Your contract is with them seller and not the manufacturer...

Hope this helps
