Trust me, you guys don't know how it is in Minnesota! If you're not blond, blue-eyed, 90lbs, sun-tanned year round then you are ForestofArden looking to become a part of the "collective." If you do not adhere to the strict "look" code, you cannot join in any "reindeer" games. I am SO not joking.
I have been here 8 years and I have NEVER seen any place like it and I've lived in three different states. These people are like either "The Stepford Wives" or "Invasion of the Body Snatchers."

Emotional well being is not dependent on physical appearances...though physical appearance can affect the mind...any screening process from a surgeon's office or other medical staff can determine which will be more important to any potential patient....mind or 'matter'...

I would have thought that your General Doctor would be able to refer you to reputable surgeons in your area

ForestofArden: I know what will make me happy, but there is a lot of risk involved. I have everything planed out, but can’t seem to find a plastic surgeon. I have searched Google, Yahoo, and all search engines including the smart plastic surgery website, which list all accredited plastic surgeons. The problem is narrowing it down.
Since I know it will be asked, I will come and say I want a lot done. I’m young, nineteen, and the thought of choosing a surgeon is weighing me down. Nothing is damaged due to injury or birth defect. I really just want to change and relieve my horrid feelings.
I can’t really live the way I’m living much longer. I’m tired of misery and just want everything to be done with. Can anyone suggest a surgeon or help me out with my quest?
I wil travel!

At opnly 19, your body has not cocmpleted it's formation into the finished product. Any changes you make now will not be there in 5/6 years time as you are still maturing physically. The changes may even become deformaties.
My advice would be to wait until you have become fully formed/grown in another few years. Then if you still want to go ahead with it, are not satisfied with yourself as a finished product, start your homework again.

I read this yesterday and I still cant decide if this is a wind-up or the saddest 19 yr old Ive ever seen.
I raised 4 girls, each of them is very different and each very beautiful just the way they are. At 19 thier dreams were about school, and boys and travel and adventure. It was a wonderful time, contemplating the begginning of thier adult life. I cant remember any of them ever talking about plastic surgery.

My general doctor did. I do a background check on all the surgeons I’m considering, because I know I’ll need a couple, and the one he recommended did not meet my standards.
