This is why I've got to behave myself on here. You guys are the FUNNIEST!!!!! As I've read some of the responses, I've laughed so hard that tears are streaming down my face!!!!

From now on, I'm going to be nice, don't wanna get banned and miss the entertainment!!! Thanks to everyone!!! Even the ones who got into a bit of a tussle!! Uh...didn't mean for that to happen.

Most everyone took this thread for what it was, an attempt at fun. It wasn't meant to suggest that people should do what I think they should do. I just wanted to point out that there are many terrific people on this site and you even put up with newcomers with an attitude, oldies but baddies. You take the lot on and you don't miss a beat.

Many of you have brightened my days since I've joined this site with your wit and humor and positive attitude, not to mention your sensible and helpful answers to many questions asked.

I hope that all of you are enjoying your night or day or afternoon, whatever the case maybe, where ever you are and thanks so much for the laughter!!!!!

To be honest, I started here as Raynew May '05. Was a member for 10 months before meeting my now wife here in the forums. All I did was participate in the forums without actively searching



My excuse is that I am still married. Despite the separation, it would be cheating if I got involved with someone else. The only people who get emails or flowers from me are friends.
If there is even a remote chance that I become unseparated, I won't do anything to screw that up

I think CS is a dating site, but much bigger than your average one. It has a lot of added features that people who are dating, single, not looking or involved can use and enjoy. For instance the forums are a big hit and enjoyed by many that are not looking to date, for whatever reason they have. Personally I am not a big one for the forums, as I prefer to mail privately but I do join in sometimes when I see a topic I like or feel I can give a good opinion on, maybe even just laugh at a joke someone told.

Personally I joined only 3 weeks ago if that and I have made friends that I chat with via mail that are not looking for a relationship and we talk about all sorts and have a laugh. Mostly these got in touch with me first, which was nice and I was happy to chat with them, knowing the situation. Of these most do not even post on the forums, they are more interested in direct contact but always seem to view my profile after a posting?? Weird I know. There are also women who I am talking too who are looking for a relationship and none of these posts on the forums. So I would probably say to those on the forums looking for a relationship, by all means enjoy the fun of the forums, but look outside it, do a bit of searching of profiles and reading.

I say reading as I always get told about guys who send one liners to women who are not looking, something like “hey beautiful, we should be together” and that is it!! Not really a lot of effort there, never mind the fact they haven’t even taken the time to read the profile, just looked at the pics.

As for those I am talking too looking for relationships, it has been half and half, between them contacting me and me contacting them to start communicating. Oh once again, they seem to view me after posting something!! So it does work as far as I am concerned even though I have not been on a date as such from here yet, but it is just about taking a bit of time to get to know someone, especially when not everyone is on your door step.

To finish off I will say no matter whether you are male or female, don’t be scared of contacting someone, the worst that can happen is they say no or you get no reply. Is that really the end of the world if someone isn’t interested in you?? No, not really, you haven’t even met them. But you will certainly not get a date, without any effort. If you really want to date them, put some effort into it. Look at what TrueLee is doing going all the way from America to Spain, I think, to see the woman of his dreams and I know everyone wishes them all the best.
