Hi all wave

Sir Patrick Moore here, to tell you to go out into your gardens tonight and see if you can see the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis). In theory, if there is no cloud cover (which there is, here in sunny Scotland blues ) you should be able to see this amazing phenomenon!

It has been a life-long amition to see the northern lights!! I really hope I see them!!!! I've got everything crossed!!!! yay yay yay banana boogie dancing dancing dog elephant very happy

wave Thanks for that J. I am definately going to go take a look tonight, fingers crossed we see something. I did a few years ago from down here in Edinburgh, it was a just constant faint green glow, no dancing light performance or colour changes.

I'll take my camera just in case ..... thumbs up

Oh wow I do hope you see them Juneau - I remember watching a programme with Joanna Lumley a couple of years ago, when she went to see them --- they looked amazing then but to see them in reality must be awe inspiring. Fingers cross J grin

Hi A wave

Oh, that sounds wonderful!!!

The weather forecast tonight, said that they may be seen from ALL OVER THE UK

I'm gonna' be off in a minute down the dark track to the big field (if I dare uh oh ) You have to look towards the north, and I can only really see east and west from the house roll eyes

Well...it's 11.50pm and I've just got back from my very short walk to the field, along the edge of the very dark wood. Didn't make it to the big field as it was a bit too scary! uh oh laugh Could see the northern skies from the wee field though and basically it's about 95% cloud cover moping

Oh well, you canna say I didn't try! Had to take a torch as it was pitch black! No murderers or ghosties tonight though...just horse poo and side-stepping all the big black slugs that seem to be enjoying their evening supper! roll eyes laugh

What an exciting life I lead! doh grin cool
