smoky: Nein, I am not talking about the over-dosing some people do with their perfumes. Here I am discussing what chemical foodstuff does to ones sense of smell. And meat is FULL of chemicals - these days - hence the swing to vegetarianism.
Remember the Bush Wars in SA..? Soldiers going into the bush stopped bathing with soap, using toothpaste, deoderants, etc ... because the indigenous people they were stalking or being stalked by, could smell these chemicals from a vast distance.
Yes I can agree with you here. It's actual standard practice in most militaries when fighting in a jungle environment.
smoky: On the subject of "Scientific Data" - Well, darl, the fact that Scientists have not yet warned anyone to wash their rice WELL before cooking it, about sums up what the Pharmaceutical companies want you to know......
Did you know ...... FACT ..... no scientific data required ...simply because I have seen it and have a family member who makes his living fumigating ships holds... ALL rice is mass imported, unless your country actually grows it locally ...... and ALL rice is fumigated with pesticides, before being transported to factories where it gets packaged.
Nice company director and his share holders are NOT going to waste time and money first washing the pesticides off the rice. Nein .. they leave it there ... cause they, as most food packaging factories, have invested interests in pharmaceutical companies, and pharmaceutical companies have vested interests in Doctors, who use their bursaries to work in hospitals who use Chemotherapy to treat the various and wonderful cancers every family is producing in their members.
Again I can agree with you here. I'd say washing ANY food well before cooking it is a must these days.
smoky: Anyone in your extended family or close friends been diagnosed with cancer yet?
Yes my paternal grandfather died of cancer, but then he was a chainsmoker for most of his life.
May I ask you a question, and please don't take this as a personal attack, but just mere curiosity on my part. As regards food you strike me as being health conscious, yet you're a smoker. Don't you see a contradiction there? Again, I'm not attacking you, just confused by these 2 different aspects of your character.

Yes, my lifestyle does seem to confuse some people ... hahaha....
I smoke .... but... I roll my own disgusting joint-like looking cigarettes ... using chlorine free papers, and air-dried tobacco that contains no additives.
And because I smoke (am addicted) ... I excercise. Without excercise I would be a stooped hacking coughing old crone!
Like eating, if one`s input exceeds the output one gets fat. Putting smoke in my lungs means I gotta do massive air inhaling/exhaling excercises ... fast walking/running/cycling/climbing..... getting the heart/lungs pumping..... regularly .... despite weather conditions.
When I used to run mini-marathons, after recovering for a few moments, the first thing I`d do was roll a smoke and lie on the ground smoking...... to the horror of bystanders ...hahahaaa
In my group of friends were Tri-Athletes, who all smoked, and were athletes BECAUSE they smoked. They were health conscious, but also addicts........ and did something about it.
People who sit a lot, lead sedentary life-styles, and smoke sugar dried chemically flavoured and doctored elegant cigarettes ...... are just asking for problems, imo.
My smokes, they are irritating things ..... and more difficult than just taking out a packet and lighting up. And they go out easily. And they are NOT elegant. BUT .... and this is the nicer part ... they don`t stink like ready-mades!
Guaranteed, from experience ... IF I smoke only ONE of those ready made things ....... I can feel the difference - lungs burning, nasty after taste, and diminished lung capacity in running (the next day)!
Unfortunately, some people look at me and think they too can smoke, but they cannot keep up the excercise regime ... or have the patience to make their own smokes!
smoky: Wulfen .... oooohhhh.... Wuuullllffennnn ...yodel-ley-lee-hoooo...... I am waiting for your comments ........
Hehe, here I am, didn't have time to post earlier in here today
Well, re-your earlier post, I can't say that I follow your reasoning 100%, but hey it's your life.
I'd surely be one of those to cast a quizzing glance if after a sporting event, one of my fellow athletes were to roll up a cigarette straight afterwards, hehe.
