(not physically, talking emotionally, psychologically, etc.) Not a question for me, but for friend I am helping mend a broken heart through the ending of a 5-year relationship and his ex is now with someone else, he's having a hard time even though she lied and cheated...any advice on how to help him see he is better off? Honestly, I don't think you can help him see that he is better off. He is going to have to come to terms with the situation on his own. At least this is how it was with me and several other people that I know.
On the other hand, you can be a good friend to him. It sounds like he really needs one right now.

Thank you for your answer..I am just trying to be there as much as I can, but I just hope he can come through this one and get strong again. Time will heal and at least he didn't end up marrying her or having children with her, that's the one good thing to come out of it, I guess?

A bit curious here.
How old is he? And how long ago did they break up? Also, how soon did his ex get with her new guy?
