Barry Murphy failed to progress in the 50 Metre Freestyle event at the European Swimming Championships in Budapest after placing 29th in Saturday morning's heats with a swim of 23.06 seconds, writes RTÉ Sport's John Kenny.
The 22-year-old Dubliner is back in the pool at 5.30pm (Irish time) for the final of the 50 metres Breaststroke where he is ranked at number 6 of the eight finalists.
