Make friends with yourself. Spend time noticing who you are. Accept all parts of yourself. Stop judging and rejecting what is going on inside. Understand you are perfect just as you are. Then choose to do the same in relationships. very important is to Choose to have relationships with those who want and appreciate just what you are.

love is fickle it follows you like a friend and is maybe always to ready to befriend everyone you know,,,its no harm being reserved a bit so u can watch how u feel about certain individuals. i felt same as u and it consumed my day yet i never spoke to the person i loved it haunted me thru and thru ,,,,but in the end time and a bit of mature thinking telling urself all the assets liabilities that surround it ,remember that big difference between fantasy and reality and what you love is an ideal of that person ,,,,just know the person first and love that person not the ideal of the person u have in your head and u wont fall as easily in future ,,,,just being a friend whos had his own version of your events

Same advice stands. Do not invest too much of yourself until you can see that they are on the same page as you are. It is very often the case that one partner wants it much more than the other and it is always the one who has invested more who gets hurt.
Like I say,being a relationship to me is like climbing a mountain together.I will not invest any more energy in it than my partner is prepared too.
