Excellent suggestions!! Have been thinking similar myself for awhile - and only thing I can think to add is BRING BACK THE CHAT/IM FEATURE!!!

Oh God No! It's bad enough having to put up with Trolls on the forums without them appearing in my mailbox and there's quite a few of them around just now.
