Because I am a home builder....I know that becuse of those LA Ca wildland fires - we're now required to build "ignition proof" homes here with safety glass windows and fireproof siding and decks etc .....then add interior sprinkler systems ..... The cost put a lot of us out of business.......
Now that's no reason to give it up. My Uncle lives in Santa Ana.He claims those winds are to be pronounced Santana. He says those winds come up in certain seasons. if it is dry enough, fire stars usually by Instantanious Combuston. His neighbor sold his house and built a new house in or about the caverans. One month later,a firebroke out and his house burned to the ground. My uncle is an ingenious man who is 82 and acts like he's 60. He said those people who would move up there are nuts, because when the Santa ana winds start up, a fire is surely the next thing to come. Start golfing again on other courses or did you just stop because of your scores I love to watch golf especially the certain pros and now all these young kids are entering the picture. Time moves on. Dig out your clubs! Good luck. I wish you a hole in one. Holly
