Hey ladies, have you heard the saying:

Before you marry a man (or get into a long-term relationship with him) you should watch very carefully how he treats the women in his life - like his mother, his sisters and his women friends... If he is disrespectful, head for the hills because chances are very good he will be disrespectful to you too.

Thoughts? Have you found this to be true? It definitely was the case with my ex. I noticed, but did not follow my gut feel at the time... perhaps because my step father was exactly the same, so I kinda thought it was par for the course!

Hey LSO. There's a old saying "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree"? cool I do believe that one can generally get a good idea, when you are dating someone, and see them interact with their family's siblings, and close friends, however some people I am convinced have a split personalityhelp frustrated

My ex was great at hiding his affairs and relationships, in fact he completedly detested people that led a life like that. He was at most times very kind with his mother, and terrified of his sisters, so this left very little room for arguments. He has this incredible ability in showing the world how truly amazing he is, when in fact he can be quite selfish and hurtful. Often its not what he said, but his actions that were like a piercing arrow in my heart.comfort So needless to say, it takes all kinds....and ironically his dad was exactly the same as him, a charmer and complete womanizersmitten love

i have heard this saying, but i personally watch how the person i am interested in treats other people without compartmentilizing it by gender...

it seems to me one of those women vs men (or men vs women..it is the same) things when the one of the two is trying to be smarter than another in managing the relationship...

my ex husband was good to his mom but he was a total mommas boy, spoiled and demanding..so not in every case is a man who appers to be good to his mom a good catch..

Absolutely. It has everything to do with his character and sense of decency. And face it, either he has it, or he doesn't.

thumbs up
