sultryash: I recently visited some relatives of my mom's I hadn't seen in years now and the first thing the said to me was how much i am looking like my mom the older I get

My big brother keep telling me that and at times i catch him staring at me and I asked him What ??? he goes..........you are looking just like Mom more and more each day.....especially how I had my hair that day

she was a sweet Mother
She was...she has passedblues My mom passed too (a long time ago). I loved her dearly. crying Isn't it silly, I still tear up thinking about her. I have her eyes and high cheekbones but that is all. funny I have a pic of my mom on the wall beside mine...In her pic..she was probably in her early 20's and me about 2 years ago. She died when she was 45, me I am living on borrowed time. Hugs Ash teddybear teddybear

I have to disagree on the grounds that it is not the same for a lot of men. I personally have a lot more love and respect for my lady than I have for my mother and I know of people who do the same (That is not to say I don't love and respect my mother). Likewise I have a friend who hold his mothers in such high esteem that he will prefer his mother to his wife. On the other hand I have a family member who treats his mother well and abuses his woman verbally and physically. I think it is an individual rather than a general trait with men.

PS I am not a lady but I just thought I would say my piece.

Yes, I'm sure there are exceptions. I'm glad you have lots of love and respect for your woman - she is lucky to have you! wave

leostartingover: Hey ladies, have you heard the saying:

Before you marry a man (or get into a long-term relationship with him) you should watch very carefully how he treats the women in his life - like his mother, his sisters and his women friends... If he is disrespectful, head for the hills because chances are very good he will be disrespectful to you too.

Thoughts? Have you found this to be true? It definitely was the case with my ex. I noticed, but did not follow my gut feel at the time... perhaps because my step father was exactly the same, so I kinda thought it was par for the course!

Sound logic...but perhaps I overstretched it too much to apply for dogs...unfortunately, didn't seem to work then...

Men who are nice to dogs may not be equally nice to humans or women... perhaps our levels just not on par with doggies... crying crying crying

woooowaaaaa
