It didn't affect me, but the UK has got a huge crises coming up. Our old Government spent too much money it didn't have and our new Government is having go cut services to the people who need it most, so it is going to be doubly difficult for the UK. The recession that we are just coming out of, and a new even harder recession to come. We are going to have some very difficult times ahead here.

yes it has affected this area,so much is being made over seas that out plants and factories are closing down.I bet around 1/4 of the people here have been laid off drawing unemployment, they have worked in these jobs all there life and there kids to,there don't have the training to do any thing else.So i guess the answer is we are going to have to learn a new trade, but how are they going to afford to do this with no money?

yed it did effect a small part of the industry , mainly the outsourcing industry ,but India has a very robust agriculture based economy with huge internal consumption which help to insulate us from all the recessions so far and post a very agressive growth over 8% consistantly . Population can be an asset sometimes ..
It's going to. My field seems to be suffering from overflooding/people with YEARS of experience taking entry-level positions just to make ends meet, so when you're somebody whose career hasn't even STARTED, it's REALLY scary.
Worst case scenario, I'm considering teaching English overseas, although with that, I'm not so sure, as I do admit it is a "travelling" sort of life style, and it's not something I want to do for very long. The only country that has a demand for ESL teachers, and I could perhaps tolerate living there long term, is Japan, because I speak enough of the language to probably get by if I hit the books and study. But even then, I'm more than aware of the subtle belief that foreigners, or "Gaijin" are never QUITE as equal as natural-born Japanese. It's just a part of their culture, they're proud of who they are.
