In your opinion which country has a healthy food diet?. Me personally i like food that isnt fatty or conveniece orientated, although i do love Asian and Italian food occasionally. I go for steamed fish and veg as against meat or fried stuff. Whats your preference?.

Ì also eat lots of fruits and vegetables and rarely meat.
I prefer mediterranian/indian food.

But I have seen/read some articles about Inuits (Greenland).
Those who live traditional (no vegetables and as fruits only berries in the summer) their food is fat and raw meat including liver and heart from seals, whales, shellfish and fish.

Some doctors showed the difference in the blood veins of a "normal" dane and a "traditional" inuit.
The veins of the inuit was like a child. No fat deposits on the inside - no risks for heart attacks whatsoever.

Very interesting. But take in that the meat is raw and marine.

I find the food much fresher and healthier in Mexico...they simply dont have the money for additives and preservatives. I also tend to cook what I buy there right away to avoid spoilage so it leads to fresher eating. wine

In April 2002, after a 15 year stretch in the USA I had a Cholesterol Test.
For any of you familiar with the levels recommended by the government guidelines in America for Cholesterol I think they were saying 224 was the maximum they would like people to have.
(Please don't quote me on that as I haven't bothered looking at the guidelines since November of that year.)
My test results came back at a level of 625.
Of course, thinking that my arms and legs were going to crack and fall off as I moved I went to the doctor and got the prescription for Lipitor and I did the exercise routine and followed the diet recommended by them.
In November 2002 after a summer of doing what I was supposed to be doing to lower my cholesterol I went in for another test.
My test results came back at a level of 679.

I decided the American lifestyle was not working for me so I went to visit some friends in Italy for the winter.
I told them my medical problem and that I was on a diet blah. blah, blah and they told me to eat what they tell me to eat.
Since I was dying anyway, they threw away my doctors diet list.
for the next 3 months I followed their advice and ate what they told me to eat...which was everything I was not supposed to eat.

In February 2003 before I left Italy I went and had another Cholesterol test done.
The results came back at 174.

Now while I was living in the USA for the two years prior to having the first test I was living in a fairly stressful place for me and the normal work/family life routine was what I really preferred to be. frustrated frustrated frustrated doh

Going to Italy removed the lifestyle stress and I think this along with the diet made all the difference in the test result.
I have kept on the Italian/Mediterranean diet since then and feel pretty good! wine

Thai food. I had 4 meals a day, with an average of 4 courses each sitting, and came back like I'd spent 6 hours a day in the gym, when in fact, all I'd done was eat for Scotland!!!
So it's gotta be real healthy grub.

However, while I was in Italy I did not learn a dam thing about typing! That was supposed to be "not where I preferred to be" rolling on the floor laughing

I know i will get the p..ss taken, but i know what you mean.I have always eaten healthy, but living here makes it easier.A month ago i went for the "full works" and had everything tested. My cholestrol is 165, and according to the doctor, my readings on everything else are the same as for a 30 year old male.I think it pays to look after yourself.Okay, tomorrow i might get run over, but thats lifelaugh
