Hi Folks,

I've been reading lots of stuff on here and loads are terrified of 'scammers' which i assume are people after your money.

So what do people use the site for?

Do folks arrange a time to be online and start a thread?
Just happen to be online and contribute to a forum as need?
Do folks browse the forums looking for someone they like the look of then e-mail?

Before I start sort of hobby threads, I thought I'd take a view of those using the site. Any advice welcome.

I use the site forums mainly for free entertainment popcorn

Excluding any wordass threads, any lame joke threads and definitely any Nora Batty or Chriswotsisname music links uh oh

Oh, I'm here for the emoticon family too... after all they have some of the most interesting CS members...

I got the feeling there were different folks here.

Some smutty, some having effectively private jokes and others just taking part.

I thought there would be more hobby type links, getting to share stuff.

Maybe not?

I'm not terrified of the scammers, they are scum, but there's scammers in the real world too!

I initially came here looking for friendship and maybe romance.....made a good friend(we communicate off site)as for romance I'll wait until it finds me......here or in the real world....in the meantime, I'll have a laugh on the word games, if nothing else it get people communicating, I lurk and occasionally get a word in on the international forum, but it can get quite aggressive over there sometimes, rolling on the floor laughing

All this for free and it usually gives me a laugh at least once a dayrolling on the floor laughing

Judging by the women I get who have contacted me they say they are in Europe, the US or Canada.

They turn out to be from the Ukraine and Russia, Ghana or Nigeria and other West African states and obviously can't read or understand english very well.

The messages are all in lowercase, rambling, never marked by punctuation, they don't answer the previous message intelligently point by point, so in my book they are scamming and I bin them.

You should think yourself lucky that they turn out to be from far away countries.

I also receive messages like the ones that you describe.. and they turn out to be from Grimsby, Bradford or Bolton uh oh

I did an hobbies thread around two years ago. I can't bump it up as it's now forever buried amongst the cobwebby shelfs of the CS archives blues

If I remember rightly everyone that posted in it said they didn't have time for any hobbies 'cos playing the wordgames on here took up all spare hours in the day that they had rolling on the floor laughing

I reckon you should start a new hobbies thread to see if anything's changed idea

So the concensus is more sinkers than floaters.

Shame really, seems like a site with real potential.

Maybe single folks get consumed with life being unfair and can't help making fun of others. I have noticed the forum threads quickly get full of tit-for-tat comments.

Anyway of cutting these out?

Yes, the thing about the internationals is that because all the members are on different timezones and a disagreement breaks out. It can go on for hours and hours and pages and pages uh oh and only thing that ends it is when the CS gods get the padlocks out and sends the worst culprits to jail laugh and as you say that gives us a laugh at least once a day and provides great free entertainment innocent

Yes Don't read them ! You are free to start your own dating site and make your own rules.
Meanwhile - We are governed by rules which the moderators have set out - Not YOU so - If you don't like what you see on the UK threads - Mach die Tür auf dem Weg nach draußen !!

Fact 1 - You look as if you are new on CS and your profile photo's do not show your face which is your right.

Fact 2 - The people to which you alude I suggest also have rights, have been here a good while longer, perhaps a year and longer without censorship from the moderators who make the rules.

Fact 3 - Most comments on the UK forums I suggest, are just good natured banter and humour. -
Fact 4 - Our threads IMO are far less provocative, abusive or agressive than many threads on the Internationals or we would have been censored as heavily as they have been by now.

Gute Nacht handshake
