Margaret Thatcher will be remembered in history as a politician who had good and bad points, she was good for people working in britain as she lowered the tax rates and made it easier for working people to buy their own homes, I think she was wrong on the way she treated the hunger strikers,the poll tax,breaking the unions by brute force rather than a gradual process, there are communities in the welsh valleys where there is massive unemployment still as a result of thatchers policies, she was a tad war hungry and overly fond of sending british troops into conflict, I think if she had stayed in power the northern Ireland situation wouldn't have evolved to the almost peaceful state it is today.
