derrykate: you never seem to surprise me with your threads, especillay your political ones Phonix.I think maybe your over due a visit home,to your native land, and hear the the majority voice of your people,we want peace, and i bet if you where living here to,and not in another land you would too,its easy to say this and that, when it would,nt be at your door step,i know in Derry we don,t want any groups, starting up again, dis,RIRA etc etc,as it is now adays, its their own people they r punishing and fighting now, gone are the day when it was the british the war was against. So i think the more you talk and others about the past, then its that kind of thinking and attitudes keeps some people in the past, the future is what counts, and thats a peaceful Ireland.

Very very very true and straight from the horses mouth. Back in May 1998, the people both sides of the border voted overwhelmingly for peace on this wee island regardless of their political siding and wants and our simple wish for peace is being ignored by those who refuse to accept that we all voted for peace.

People who support groups like Eirigi or the PUP ought to know that they represent nobody and nobody wants them to represent them either; they are purely into rabble rousing and incitement of old fashioned bitterness for their warped and criminal means.

Well you clearly don't know a whole pile about either of them. If you did you would first of all know that there is no link whatsoever between éirígí (whose website you have obviously never visited or you would know they do not use a capital e.) and any sort of current military activity.

The PUP are also very much part of the peace process, if it wasn't for people like Hutchinson, Spence and Ervine, we would not have had a loyalist ceasefire.

I don't mind you having an opinion, but I do mind it when you throw around inaccurate statements like the one above, just to satisfy those opinions.

This thread is now kind of pointless, why would we want an extra 6 counties when the South will shortly owned by the ECB/IMF.

Now that is a point, will either the people in the six counties or the 26 counties wish to join when it is going to mean a drop in the standard of living......for one or the other, we all live in peace-time, economics is the real war being fought right now.
