Lemmings:
Because of their association with this odd behavior, lemming is a frequently used metaphor in reference to people who go along unquestioningly with popular opinion, with potentially dangerous or fatal consequences

derrykate: ,and i bet if you where living here to,and not in another land you would too

If I was living at home I would still have the same views today...

derrykate: its easy to say this and that, when it would,nt be at your door step,i know in Derry we don,t want any groups, starting up again, dis,RIRA etc etc,as it is now adays, its their own people they r punishing and fighting now, gone are the day when it was the british the war was against

That's right the PRM never carried out punishment beating's, orangnised riot's,killed and secretly buried people.....or killed their own volunteers as alleged agents of the state to cover up their own crimes...Allowed 6 men to die on hunger strike to further their own agenga. Ask your self why did Gearld Bradley take his own life for a few weeks ago???? Who forced him? Member's of so called dissidents or mainstream (PRM) republicans???

derrykate: So i think the more you talk and others about the past, then its that kind of thinking and attitudes keeps some people in the past, the future is what counts, and thats a peaceful Ireland.

Most of (if not all) the links I've put up are about injustices that are happening today in Nov 2010.....Includinbg the bombing riot's and punishment beatings (all carried out with in the last few weeks).

The difference is I'm not buying into the PR campagin. That all is rosey in the 6 counties and each night every one kisses each other over the garden gate..

stanley8m: Margaret Thatcher will be remembered in history as a politician who had good and bad points, she was good for people working in britain as she lowered the tax rates and made it easier for working people to buy their own homes, I think she was wrong on the way she treated the hunger strikers, the poll tax, breaking the unions by brute force rather than a gradual process, there are communities in the welsh valleys where there is massive unemployment still as a result of thatchers policies, she was a tad war hungry and overly fond of sending british troops into conflict, I think if she had stayed in power the northern Ireland situation wouldn't have evolved to the almost peaceful state it is today.

has blood on her hands...is compilicted in murder, conspiracy to murder, human rights abuses.....That's what she'll be remember for (not only in the six counties)

Appropriate for the season that's in it. That the old C U Next Tuesday might choke on her Plumb Pudding.

10FegsandaPint: omit the you

Actually, if you stuck in a couple of commas that sentence would be perfectly acceptable.
