When you need a little perspective, who do you go to, or where or what do you do to get it?

I generally keep to myself. So, when I am in need of a little perspective, I pray and think. L.

Younger people like my students, well those of age. They usually give better advice than my peers.

OK (I'm so going to check spelling on this, 4 times)

I try to get down to one of a couple local parks to have a conversation with the Canadian Geese. They generally don't tend to offer up much advice, but they listen really well.

If you try this, you can even play out the birds side of the conversation, you might be surprised what they saw that you didn't grin

Try not to speak out loud when there are joggers or walkers or cyclists though, I can assure you the looks you'll get are anything but flattering laugh

When I need some perspective, I either take off to my cottage for the weekend ALONE and sit by the lake......or I go to see my mom....I usually don't get an answer but I get "inspired".....she's not here anymore.....crying ......
either one always works for me......

When I need to get some perspective on what is happening or not happening in my life ... I actually find it extremely helpful to talk with another person.

I find that sometimes just speaking out my thoughts and getting feedback can help clarify whether I'm on the right track, totally at conflicting poles of thought without realizing it, or their feedback can give me another option that I hadn't thought of before.

I've tried as well sometimes writing out my thoughts .... just letting them pour out randomly but I admit that I struggle to focus them into a concrete plan. Perhaps my thoughts are too abstract or wondering as I have a tendency to focus in many different directions at the same time. This is something that I definitely need to work on in my life as sometimes I tend to go around in circles insteading of moving forward.

Normaly I tend to keep things to myself and just think. Normaly I either have a good brisk walk to help me clear my mind or have a hot bubble bath and watch a good movie.

But it also depends on the situation. I will sometimes turn to my closest friends. It never hurts to hear other people's perspective once in awhile.

(And no worries Gib's. Been there done that and still do it. So your forgiven tongue ) rolling on the floor laughing

As soon as you run out of bread to toss them, the geese attack. Beware.

Perspective? I hike off by myself somewhere. Love waterfront meditation. Learning other techniques as my mood dictates.

My daughters are refreshingly blunt and objective about life so I enjoy philosophical encounters with them.

I'll go to my friends. They tell me how it is and don't sugarcoat it.

I confess I also consort with psychics and dabble a bit in the occult. Often results in some very clear and objective life lessons.
