friends474: this site is about connecting singles. right? i would have thought putting a photo on your profile would be one of the first things to do. i know it's not all about looks but i would never meet up with anyone without seeing what they looked like first. it just wouldn't feel right.

Ccincy: I belong to acouple websites and some people post pics of themselves, of pets etc and noone thinks anything of it.
I realize on a site such as thing it helps to have a photo up.But even if they put a photo up how do you know for sure it's actually of them.

I don't know why they don't just put that in their profile as well, save me time.
But also I think most people are a little embarrassed to be seen by family and friends on a meeting site.

Would it not be crazy if you were at the airport waiting for a connecting flight and you ran into someone you knew on CS? Profile Pics would then be fortunate. Then what if in same airport waiting lobby and you were sitting next to some one that did not upload their Pic and you never met. I think all Blogger s and such on CS have their profile pics if I am unmistaken?

In my experience it is because they are not that great looking. There have been three occasions where I have exchanged several messages with a man and liked what he had to say, but when I saw his photo I was disappointed. I don't tend to take anyone seriously now that doesn't have a photo on the site. Looks are not everything, but it's usually the first thing that draws you to someone. Anyway it's only fair they display a photo since they can see what I look like.

or you see the scammer that you hate, go give them a big slap and then realize the photograph was most certainly a stolen one ....

Just think there can be genuine reasons I have spoken to people here without pics and it hasn't bothered me at all, others have mailed me pics but did not want them on a dating site which I can understand depending on there work.------ This thread is Archived ------
